The Politically Incorrect Christmas

Candy Chand tells a story about a politically incorrect Christmas program at her son's school. It was the normal hectic Christmas schedule. And although she had vowed this year would be the year for a calm peaceful experience, this year was not different. She even discovered that her schedule would prevent her from her son's "Winter Pageant." Unwilling to miss the entire event she spoke to the teacher and was invited to watch the dress rehearsal.

On the morning of the dress rehearsal she arrived ten minutes early to get a good seat. She was a little anxious because the school system they were in had stopped referring to the holiday as "Christmas." She didn't really expect anything more than Santa Claus, snowflakes, and reindeer. When her son, by the way his name is Nicholas, stood up with his class to sing this mom was surprised with the title, "Christmas Love." This would push the envelope in this politically correct town.

The children were full of smiles and wiggled with some trying to balance bright snowcaps on their heads. Those in the front row fidgeted nervously as they had the responsibility to spell out CHRISTMAS LOVE during the song. Each child held on to their letter tightly as they had been warned not to drop them. The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, she noticed a small quiet girl holding on to the "M." She had turned her letter around and when she held it up she accidentally had it upside down! The 1st - 6th graders laughed at the mistake. Soon however, a silence went through the crowd as all the letters were revealed. This little girl reminded us all what the season is all about, "CHRISTWAS LOVE."

And He still is!
