University 101

For the next two weeks all of our adult classes will be studying membership, specifically membership at University. For most this will be a review of much of what you already know. That is okay because much of teaching is repetition. However, for some this will be an important time to learn more about our church's identity, core beliefs, and mission. You will learn about all the benefits of membership. To steal from American Express, "Membership has its Privileges."

We also want to share with you what membership means. There is a huge difference between "attenders" and "members." The word is commitment. Another word could be involvement. Many cheat themselves out of the privilege in membership by not totally involving themselves in the family. We encourage you to use your gifts, to build relationships, and to grow in maturity.

Our family covenant:

1. I will protect the unity of the body of Christ at University.
2. I will share the responsibility at University.
3. I will serve in a ministry at University.
4. I will involve myself fully in the life of church at University.
