Do You Believe Dat?
Wow! Sunday was truly a Super Day. We had our largest crowd ever for Super Sunday and we set a record for the most people who stayed to eat. And what a wonderful meal it was. Hats off to Bob Woolfolk who prepared the brisket - it was excellent as usual. Thanks to those who helped with the meal, set up the tables, and helped with the decorations. I do not know how you can feed so many so fast.
I appreciate our elder's communicating a vision for the year in our Bible Class. The video that Doug Strange put together was outstanding. I hope everyone will get a chance to see it. Tony led us in worship and the last selection of "Our God Is Alive" was so uplifting. We all rejoiced with the baptism of Kody Anderson. We were also moved when Dan and Susan Leach were baptized. It was a great experience for me to watch Eddie Dunn, who has been like a father to them, take their confession and baptize them into Christ. What a big day!
I love our theme for the year. All in the Family! My prayer is that we will all be encouraged and equipped to be more like Jesus. As we love one another the world will know. May God be glorified in 2010! Oh. Did you have a chance to watch the game? How about them Saints!
P. S. - Thanks for signing up to pray for our families at University!
